However, if you want to open a new location in Sierra Leone and employ expats, you’ll need to consider how to get Sierra Leone work permits for each foreigner.
It is important to know that Sierra Leone offers several types of work visas, but the most applicable for global companies include the following:

| Work permit | The most popular option for employees of international firms is a work permit. You, as the prospective employer, must sponsor each employee for the duration of their stay. |
| Tourist visa | Foreign people from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) do not need a visa to visit Sierra Leone. Everyone else need a tourist visa from the Sierra Leone embassies and consulates in their home country. |
