- Proof of health insurance

- A copy of the employee’s highest degree of education, which must be stamped and signed by the employer
- A copy of the applicant’s CV, which should also be stamped and signed
- A work certificate that shows the applicant has at least five years of relevant experience
The Application Procedure
In Indonesia, it is the obligation of the employer to apply for an ITAS on behalf of potential employees.
The procedure begins with the company applying for a VITAS. They will require formal government authorization before doing so. In addition, the company must apply for an Expatriate Placement Plan with the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower. This is known as a Rencana Penempatan Tenaga Kerja Asing, or RPTKA.
The company can then apply for the employee’s temporary visa and work permit. The BKPM issues the VITAS, which is a stay visa in Indonesia. A single application can be filed for both the VITAS and the ITAS work permit. This application is available at any Indonesian consulate or embassy.
If the application is granted, the ITAS and VITAS will be accessible within two working days. After then, the employee may travel to Indonesia. Upon arrival, the employee should show the immigration officials their letter of permission for the ITAS. The authorities will subsequently issue the ITAS.
An IMTA, a prior authorization that permitted enterprises to hire international personnel in Indonesia, is no longer required.
